PowerPoint Presentation Part I
For this assignment I had to create a PowerPoint on a subject matter I may teach someday. I plan on teaching English literature at the secondary level, so I made my PowerPoint to follow up and discuss William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Some of the major themes of the story are covered and the open ended questions can let students think.

PowerPoint Presentation Part II
For this assignment I had to create a PowerPoint on a subject matter I may teach someday. I plan on teaching English literature at the secondary level, so I made my PowerPoint to follow up and discuss William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Some of the major themes of the story are covered and the open ended questions can let students think. I made this slide presentation on ProfCast then uploaded it to YouTube, so students can learn what was discussed in class.

Podcast Assignment

For this assignment I went on Audacity to record my voice. Then I went to archive.org to get Public Domain background music. I edited the two audio pieces together and finished my podcast. This podcast addresses Governor Snyder to speak with him about his new budget. This media was produced on March 16, 2011 in room 328 lab.

Digital Story Telling

I had to create a digital story on iMac iMovie using pictures I took. I chose to talk about my senior prom. I made a storyboard on Microsoft Word, loaded the images to iMovie. I rearranged the pictures in the order I wanted and added music from Free Music Archive. I used the headset to do the voice over. After creating the video and narrating it, I had to save it as a .mov, upload it to YouTube, and embed it here

Images

For this assignment I had to take a picture from my personal computer that I had taken and upload it to my wikispace page. I then had to take a picture from flickr under the creative commons license and use it to create an assignment for my students.

Ornamental Plum Flowers
Assignment: Find a poem that has to do with flowers and/or spring and be ready to recite it in one week.
    • Note: this poem does not need to be recited in front of the class, but if you would like to recite it privately with me, you must set up an appointment.
